A bit about Dan.
I proudly say that I started out with zero connections in the film/TV industry.
That's a badge of honor to me because I had to forge my own path. First by making movies in my backyard and sharing them on YouTube channels that have collectively gained 2,000,000+ views and 10,000 subscribers. And then by producing dozens of films and corporate videos nationwide.
At Robert H. Goddard Middle School 202, I began developing technical skills by studying broadcast television and hosting the New York City public TV show, Alive in Five. Then there were community theater stints as Romeo, Robin Hood, and perhaps most handsomely, Raoul, Vicomte de Chagny in The Phantom of the Opera. Back behind the scenes, I studied stage management at Christ the King Regional High School and received my dual B.A. in Film Production and TV/Radio at CUNY Macaulay Honors College at Brooklyn College.
That's me on the left, in the backyard "studio lot."
Since then, I've been opening doors for myself everywhere I see one. As a PA (production assistant) on shows such as Madam Secretary, The Blacklist, Kevin Can Wait and Murphy Brown. As a field producer and cinematographer for The True Delta Project and DeLorean Motor Company. As a camera operator and field videographer for corporate clients like Amazon and Coldwell Banker. And now as my own boss at Passing Planes Productions LLC.
